ALEX SMITH JOINS THE SALES DEPARTMENT AT SPRING
Spring Automation is pleased to announce the addition of Alex Smith as Director of Sales & Marketing.
Nashville, TN — Thursday, January 13th, 2022 — Spring Automation is pleased to announce the addition of Alex Smith to the Sales department as Director of Sales & Marketing. Alex will play a key role in ensuring that Spring reaches its potential. His responsibilities include planning and directing all aspects of the organization’s marketing and sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. The key duties of the Director include the hiring and development of members of their team, creating and executing sales strategies, developing and managing the sales and marketing department budget, and working directly with clients. As Spring grows, his role will have a high impact on Spring’s overall direction for successful project execution and account growth.
Alex graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication. He has held a CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) certification since 2018 while working for a safe automation company providing engineering services and products to OEMs, integrators, and end-users. Before joining Spring Automation, Alex spent 8+ years in the automation industry, serving in various sales roles. Most recently, he worked for an automation company specifying equipment for barcode scanning, dimensioning, and presence sensing, among many other applications in Logistics Automation. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and watching sports, especially the Kentucky Wildcats and Atlanta Braves. He is most looking forward to being introduced to new friends and helping drive growth at Spring Automation.
