Internship Roles

Commissioning. You will develop strong troubleshooting skills through hands-on exercises with electrical control components and systems in our lab. This includes configuring hardware, pre-wiring assemblies, testing systems, and bench testing. Through a hands-on approach, you will gain an understanding of hardware components commonly found in a commissioning role.

PLC Programming/HMI. You will be exposed to the programming of controls hardware responsible for bringing these systems to life. This includes both PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces). You will learn ladder logic style programming and how to develop screens for system status, diagnostics, and alarms.

Electrical Design. You will be exposed to hardware and design concepts in our industry and learn about hardware commonly found in a control panel. You will also learn to interpret schematic sets for controlling conveyor systems and other equipment. Virtual reality tours of our systems prepare for design efforts and help you analyze real-world systems.

 

Internship Requirements

  • Junior, Senior, or Recent Grad
  • Relevant Degree
  • Able to work a minimum of +30 hours

 

Opportunity Dates

Spring Internship: January - May

Summer Internship: May - August

Fall Internship: August - December
