NASH ORTEN NAMED LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEAD
A familiar face at Spring Automation will now serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on learning and development within the engineering department.
Nashville, TN — Thursday, July 21, 2022 — Spring Automation is pleased to announce Nash Orten as Learning & Development Team Lead. In his role, he will oversee the development of training and certification programs, the learning management system (LMS), onboarding planning, the controls engineering internship program, and process documentation.
Nash Orten began paving the road for growth by providing straightforward and easy-to-access training documents during his time as Engineering Team Lead by creating an online training portal. His goal for the training portal design included ease of access, low pressure for trainees, and crafting a roadmap of fundamental content. Nash also developed the certification program at Spring Automation designed to accomplish the following goals: accurately evaluate team member skill sets, provide streamlined hands-on training catered to our clients and industry, ensure quality standards at the onboarding phase, and invest in continuous growth for existing team members and interns. In his new role, he will conduct annual training and development needs assessments, develop training programs and objectives, ensure employees are aware of training resources, and manage university outreach. In addition, Nash will ensure the implementation of effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize team members.
Nash is passionate about the control systems that bring the world into motion, whether that includes robust industrial control systems, high-tech gadgets, or flashy animatronics; applying his engineering background to bring a system to life is what he lives for. Nash Orten received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Murray State University. He started within the Diakonia Group in July 2016 as a Controls Engineer II. His engineering experience prior included designing, fabricating, and installing control systems for Animatronics Systems with renowned theme park and entertainment companies. A fun fact about Nash is he has a spicy pug named Nacho.
