We’re excited to introduce Creighton Trull as the newest leader at Spring Automation. Creighton joins the Spring team as VP of Project Execution with a strong foundation in automation, controls, and material handling, along with a leadership style rooted in integrity, humility, and people-first values.
With experience spanning system integration, engineering, sales execution, and business leadership, Creighton brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to his role—one shaped by years of hands-on industry experience and a commitment to doing things the right way.
A Career Grounded in Values and Growth
Creighton was raised in a small rural town outside of St. Louis, where he learned the importance of honesty, hard work, and commitment by observing his parents’ dedication to family and career. Those values carried him through high school and into Purdue University, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering.
After graduating, Creighton began his career at a family-owned automation company, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries, including automotive manufacturing and pharmaceutical processing. Early in his career, influential mentors helped shape and strengthen his leadership mindset, reinforcing the importance of diligence, honesty, and leadership.
Seeking an opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, Creighton and his wife relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, where he expanded his experience in freight, parcel, and baggage handling systems at a control system integration company while growing his family to include two daughters and a son.
His career later took him into roles with increased people leadership responsibilities, broadening his impact across the material handling industry to include warehouse and distribution consulting and system integration. In more recent roles, he helped evolve a product-focused organization into a blended product and system integration solutions provider.
What Leadership Means to Creighton
For Creighton, leadership is about setting direction while serving others.
“Lead by example; show true character. Do what is right regardless of difficulty or uncertainty. Support and serve others; coach, mentor, and sacrifice.”
He believes great leadership starts with humility, integrity, and commitment. Creating trust through open, honest communication is central to how he works with teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding behind strategic decisions.
Leading Through Learning and Growth
Creighton is open about the lessons learned throughout his leadership journey. Early in his people leadership career, he pushed organizational change too quickly. From this experience, it reinforced the importance of patience, empathy, and thoughtful communication when leading teams through transformation.
Today, he’s known for strategic thinking, intuition, and the ability to drive results while earning team buy-in. He defines humility as having the honesty and confidence to acknowledge mistakes, share failures, and use those experiences to help others grow.
We’re excited to welcome Creighton to Spring Automation and look forward to the impact his leadership will have on our team, our customers, and our future. Join the conversation on LinkedIn or visit our Careers page to learn more about opportunities at Spring Automation.
