Jake McDermott Joins the Sales Department at Spring Automation.
Spring Automation is pleased to announce the addition of Jake McDermott as an Account Executive.
Nashville, TN — Thursday, January 11th, 2024 — Spring Automation is pleased to announce the addition of Jake McDermott to the Sales department as Account Executive. Jake will play a key role in maintaining existing client partnerships, expanding our client base, and assisting in the growth of the sales department. His responsibilities include customer calls and visits, branding improvements, departmental growth, market analysis, and gathering customer feedback while focusing on identifying and selling controls and software solutions to system integrators and end users. In addition, he will significantly impact Spring’s direction to acquire new customers and continue yearly success.
Jake was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He earned a degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Before joining Spring Automation, he worked in Business Development at an Industrial Controls Company. Growing up around his parents' business, he became interested in sales and marketing. During his previous job, he worked with customers in the Material Handling industry and has always been interested in automation, making him a perfect fit for Spring Automation. Jake is passionate about increasing productivity through the use of technology. He was drawn to Spring Automation by the company's culture and community contributions.
Jake describes himself as empathetic, driven, and creative. Jake is a musician and enjoys playing the drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. He also likes rock climbing, staying active at the gym, and discovering new food places. Most people don't know that he is interested in film photography and learning to develop his own film. Jake advises someone starting their career: "Treat everything as a learning experience. You will not start your career with the knowledge of a tenured employee. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and understand that you will not always have all the answers at the start. Stay organized and focused. You are your own best advocate!”
